To Say Michael Jackson is NUTZO is so effin' obvious

Just let this picture speak, it is a close-up of the hood of his golf cart to put-put around his Neverland estate. He IS Peter Pan here, literally.

If you didn't know about the auction, check it out online, Julien's hasn't posted the images yet, but some folks out on the web have teasers.

Here are some fun linkies for your reading pleasure:

Here are the places I'm going to try to watch the Oscars on Sunday night without cable, then, if unsuccessful, to the bar I will go (but let's hope, for my sake, it doesn't come down to that, I'm not known for my self-control on Oscar night):

Coraline...Go See it!

I saw Coraline this weekend and loved it so much I'm reading the book (having never read Gaiman this is a double-delight). I won't say much about the plot because I saw it without any idea what it was about which was way fun. Just go see it, don't ask questions.

Maddy got a haircut this weekend and looks adorable (pictures to come in another entry) and I'm working on a video of her antics as well. She also got a clean bill of heath from the vet.

Here are some linkies I discovered:

http://boxee.net/ (This may solve my Netflix problem, story to follow.)

http://movies.ign.com/dor/objects/735644/coraline/videos/coraline_feat3_081308.html A collection of current videos on films as well as decent vids interviewing the principles of Coraline (and a making of, which I love).

XBOX MISERY: The Saga Begins.

Silly me, I trusted Netflix's web site. I am attempting to live a cable-free life in an effort to lessen my addiction to TV and to save a little moola, so I thought it'd be swell to just have internet and watch Netflix. Then, I discovered that Netflix now offers an online streaming option (nifty, I have not been a Netflix member in years so I'm a newbie). But, when I tried to stream my Mac wasn't compatible. Thanks Netflix, you never once mentioned this on your site. So, I thought I'd possibly buy their little box for $99, hook it up to my TV and stream anyway. But, $99 bucks for a device that only streams Netflix and does nothing else. Seems like a waste of money. I scrolled down to the bottom of the screen of devices that stream and Netflix said the Xbox for $199 (that'd be the "Arcade" version, folks) streams, as long as you have the "Gold" membership. Um kay.

Long story shortened, after spending all effin' day at the mall and speaking to a series of useless Gameworks, EBGames and Best Buy employees and receiving conflicting information from all, I learned that the next XBOX up ($299) will play Netflix, but NOT the $199. Thanks y'all for knowing ye head from ye arse. The kicker is all the fun I had pushing and shoving through the game-hungry crowds at said stores, not kewl. Listen, I know what you're thinking, I sorta deserved this, I mean, who else shops in those stores but gamers. I'm not a gamer. I've only played "classic" video games at arcades in the 1980's (yes, I am old, 38 to be exact) and have never played a gaming system except Pong that hooked up to our TV in the 70's and Atari in the 80's. I thought it'd be fun to try it out and the thing could work as a DVD player too. Nope, it's a foreign language spoken in a hostile land that I want nothing to do with.

So, the first link I posted above is supposed to be the answer to my woes.

Truthfully, I just want to watch "The Rockford Files" and movies on my TV in the living room. Is that so wrong?

But, in the meantime, while at Bestbuy I picked-up a new directors version of "Taxi Driver" and an uber-cheap (um, $3.99 cheap) copy of "American Psycho," after reading the book I'm curious, plus, as You Tube revealed, Bales is great at spewing angry venomous swearing.

That's my weekend. You are jealous, I know it.

Meanwhile, last night my Brooklyn landlord emailed me, texted me and left a vmail just to freak me out for nothing. The guy just wanted to "touch base" but his messages belied some sort of emergency. I can't wait to settle-up, get my deposit back and say buh-bye to Bushwick for eternity. Lawdy, it won't be soon enough.

I also went to this restaurant on Saturday night and it was a-maze-ing.

I Lurve Koalas

I saw this photo on cuteoverload.com and I cannot stop thinking about Koala bears. Now, I know they arn't actually bears. No doy. But I want this one, in particular, to be my bear. I want to hug him and squeeze him and cuddle him and...see? I can't stop. It's hor-eb-le the way I am obsessing today. I guess it takes my mind off of other things like my lousy, um, er, part of my life.
